What are the different Cancellation Policies?

The owner has three policy structures they can choose for their rental: Easy Going, Firm but Fair and By the Book. The renter is responsible for reading the owners selected cancellation policy before the reservation is made. Renters can view the policies under the booking details page (found in the message board).

Below are the three cancellation policies the owners can choose for their vehicle. 

    • Easy Going

      Travelers who cancel at least 14 days before check-in will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations between 7 and 14 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund. If the cancellation is less than 7 days before check-in the traveler will not receive a refund. 

    • Firm but Fair

      Travelers who cancel at least 30 days before check-in will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations between 14 and 30 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund. If the cancellation is less than 14 days before check-in the traveler will not receive a refund. 

    • By the Book

      Travelers who cancel at least 60 days before check-in will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations between 30 and 60 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund. If the cancellation is less than 30 days before check-in the traveler will not receive a refund.

 

 What if an Owner Cancels?

While we understand there are rare exceptions (weather, illness, etc.), we strongly discourage owner cancellations. If an owner cancels they may receive an automated review on the Listing page. Repeat cancellations will result in termination from the platform entirely.
